DOHA: Secretary General of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) Mansoor Al Ansari on Wednesday met with the ambassador of the Republic Mali to Qatar, Cheick Ahmed Tidiany and Mahamadou Diarra, Vice President of Malian Football Federation (MFF).
Ahmed Al Abassi, Executive Director of national teams and Mohamed Fakhro, Head of International Relations Department, were also present.
The visit on Wednesday comes on the sidelines of the training camp for Mali Under-20 squad which is being held in Doha in preparation for the FIFA U-20 World Cup to be played in Poland.
During the reception on Wednesday, the two officials discussed the current training camp in Doha and agreed to play a friendly match with Qatar's national youth team participating in the FIFA U-20 World Cup to be held in May and June this year.
The two sides also discussed the possibility of holding a training camp soon for the first Mali team which is preparing to feature in the African Nations Cup.
The two officials also agreed to enhance cooperation between the two sides and the importance of working together in the coming period especially in the field of youth development.
At the end of the meeting, shields and souvenirs were exchanged with expressions of 'a bright future for the two friendly countries'.
