Doha:Â Qatar Cup losing finalists Al Duhail are ready for Al Shamal in their Amir Cup quarterfinal clash with coach Sabri Lamouchi saying his team expects a ''difficult match''.
"The match is going to be difficult. We are looking for the best result because the loss in football is there, and you have to overcome the stumbling blocks. We must win against Al Shamal to continue in this prestigious competition," Lamouchi said on Monday ahead of the quarterfinals clash.
"I am a coach, and I am not a wizard, and I cannot solve all the problems in this short period of time (of four months with the team). Since my arrival, we lost only four matches and played in a great way until the last match against Al Sadd (last week). We lost, but we were the better side," he said.
"We must have our full opportunity to change the team's mentality and reach the desired results. I hope we do not face surprises in Amir Cup," Lamouchi said on Monday.
Hisham Ghazwani, coach of Al Shamal, said on Monday: "My team is ready for our match against Al Duhail. We are honoured to play the second match in this prestigious tournament. We know our task is not easy against a strong team that is competing for titles."
"We did not reach the quarterfinals by chance. The Amir Cup feature is surprising in most matches, especially in the advanced stages of the event. We know all the teams play to win, we will try to go toe to toe with them without any inferiority complex."
