DOHA: Al Khor maintained its lead in the Qatargas League after defeating Al Rayyan 3-1 in a round 14 match.
Al Khor remained in the top despite sharing the points tally with Al Duhail, but have a better goal aggregate (45 vs 43).
Al Khor has raised its tally to 37 points while Al Rayyan is still pegged at 13 (eighth position).
The goals for Al Khor were scored by Ahmed Hassan Al Mohannadi (19 and 24) and Ahmed Salem Askar (80). Saeed Salem Al Marri scored for Al Rayyan.
In a one-sided clash, Al Duhail beat Al Wakra 6-0 to be in second spot. Al Wakra has 25 points.
Nour Rahman, Fahd Waad Al Bayati, Rabah Yahya, Obaid Rahman, Diab Haroun and Ibrahim Miteb were goal scorers for Al Duhail.
Al Arabi, meanwhile, strengthened its third position after a 2-0 victory over Al Shahaniya.
The goals were scored by Firas Mohammed (57) and Ahmed Mohamed Abu Trika (66).
Al Arabi has raised its tally to 30 points while Al Shahaniya remain on six points.
Qatar SC team, meanwhile, achieved its third league victory at Al-Sailiya (3-2). Qatar SC has raised its score to 12 points (ninth spot) while Al Sailiya fell to 10th place (11 points).
Muhammad Salem and Youssef Hani Ballan scored for Qatar SC while Meshaal Qassem Al Shammari and Muhammad Rabie found the net for Al Sailiya.
Al Sadd defeated Umm Salal 3-0 after strikes by Khalid Al Naimi, Mustafa Tariq and Saud Al Nasr.
Al Sadd has 18 points (sixth place) while Umm Salal fell to seventh after its tally was frozen at 16 points
