DOHA: Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium on Sunday will host the first Amir Cup match between Mesaimeer and Al Shamal, two sides of the Second Division from last season.
Mesaimeer finished fourth in the Second Division last season while Al Shamal ranked fifth.
Winner of this match will qualify as the 16th side of the teams set to feature in 2020 Amir Cup.
The round of 16 will see the teams divided into two groups.
First group will include Al Sadd, Al Duhail, Al Sailiya, Al Rayyan, Al Ahli, Al Arabi, Al Shahaniya, Al Gharafa.
The second group will include Umm Salal, Al Khor, Qatar SC, Al Kharaitiyat, Al Wakrah, Muaither, Al Markhiya and Mesaimeer or Al Shamal.
