DOHA: The Amir Cup Trophy Tour has kicked off with a stopover at Msheireb Properties, situated in the heart of the Qatari capital.
Msheireb Properties, a real estate development company, is a subsidiary of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.
It was established to contribute to the achievement of strategic objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
As has been the practice over the years, the Amir Cup Trophy Tour will visit schools, colleges, universities, government offices and organizations in the private sector over the course of next few weeks until two teams reach the final of the event on May 16.
More popularly known as the Trophy Tour, the attempt is to engage the Amir Cup trophy with members of the societies residing in Qatar.
The delegation was received by Mr. Mubarak Al-Buainain, Executive Director of Contracts, and Ms. Mariam Al-Jasim, Director of Public Relations and Corporate Communications,
Qatar international duo Yousif Hassan and Assem Madibo were accompanied by a Qatar Football Association Delegation consisting of Khalid Mubarak Al Kuwari, Director of Marketing and Communication, Abdulrahman AbdulJabar, Hussein Al Sharshani and Ibrahim Al Ghanim.
Msheireb Properties dedicated the top roof to receive the precious trophy. One can see the entire Doha Corniche from that very spot including the Amiri Diwan.
Khalid Mubarak Al Kuwari, Director of Marketing and Communication, Qatar Football Association (QFA), said: “The launch of the Amir Cup trophy confirms that this event is for everybody. We already have a requests from so many organizations that want to be part of the Trophy Tour.”
He added: "The start of this Trophy Tour signifies the importance of Msheireb Properties. This place is an architectural marvel. This Trophy Tour will continue its journey in the coming days and weeks until the final of the most popular football tournament in the country.”
