DOHA: Ivan Bravo has been appointed Technical Director of the Qatar Football Association (QFA).
Bravo's latest appointment comes in the wake of developing junior football in Qatar, who won the Asian Cup earlier this year.
The Qatar national squad - that includes a number of Aspire Academy players - stunned powerhouses of Asia to become continental champions in February this year.
Bravo is the Director General of Aspire Academy where he overseas the football development incentives for junior players. Bravo has been in Qatar for a number of years now.
Aspire Academy's success in delivering quality players is attributed to the plans out in place by Bravo for more than a decade.
Prior to joining the Aspire Academy, Bravo was Director of Strategy at Real Madrid CF, one of the world’s most accomplished sports institutions.
At Real Madrid, Bravo was in charge of heading the Club’s strategies and initiatives on both the business and sports fronts with two main goals: continue to lead the industry as the world’s highest revenue grossing football club and restructure Real Madrid’s sports practices to return to sports success.
