DOHA: Duhail on Tuesday widened the points gap at the top of the Qatargas
U-23 League with a 1-0 win over immediate chasers Al Arabi.
Nasser Al Yazidi scored in the 17th minute for Duhail in the Qatargas round 7
match-up.
Duhail now have 27 points after round 7 while Al Arabi have a tally of 20.
In another game, Al Ahli beat Al Sailiya 3-1 after goals by Abdullah Hassan (33), Nasser
Al Kaabi (83) and Ahmad Faisal (89).
For Al Sailiya, Saeed Al-Marri scored the goal in the 48th minute.
Al Ahli's Ibrahim Al-Karbi was shown the red card in the 72nd minute.
Al-Ahli have 15 points while Al-Sailiya could not add to their 10 points.
In another match, 10-man Al Kharaitiyat came from 1-3 down to achieve a 3-3 draw
against Al Sadd in what was a dramatic tie.
For Al Kharaitiyat the goals were scored by Ibrahim Ali (21), Abdullah Hussain
(49), Abdul Hadi Numan (87).
Al Sadd have 18 points while Al Kharaitiyat have a tally of 8.
