DOHA: Umm Salal on Saturday beat Al Kharaitiyat 5-0 to advance
to the quarterfinals of the Emir Cup.
Ousama (12), Sagbo (45, p, 94) and Mawas (55 and 85) scored the
goals for Umm Salal at Al Duhail Stadium.
Umm Salal raced to a 2-0 lead by the end of the first half, stamping
their authority over their rivals who looked out of sorts.
In the second half, Umm Salal missed a penalty also besides wasting
open opportunities to score. Despite the misses, Umm Salal still found
the net three times to wrap up their impressive win.
The Emir Cup quarterfinals will be played on May 3 and 4.
The tournament is organise by the Qatar Football Association, the game's
ruling body in the country.
The final of the Emir Cup - the country's most popular football event -
will be played on May 19 at the Khalifa International Stadium.
