Korea edge Qatar in Toulon tournament

TOULON, France: Korea on Tuesday edged Qatar 2-1 in their final match of the Toulon International Championship.   By virtue of their win on Tuesday, Korea finished the event in 11th place whereas Qatar ended in 12th spot.   Minus Qatar, all teams fielded their U-21 players. Qatar, using the team to prepare for this year's AFC U 19 Asian Cup, fielded their U-19 players.   Qatar will start their Asian Cup 2018 match against UAE on Oct. 18. In the second game, Qatar will face Indonesia on Oct. 21 before taking on China’s Taipei team on the 24th of the same month.   Nasser Abdulsalam (64') scored the goal for Qatar on Tuesday.   For Korea, Se-Jin Jeon (13' penalty) and Young-Wook Cho (50') scored the two goals.   Qatar opened the event with a loss against Mexico before producing a 1-1 draw against China. Qatar also lost to England last Friday.   The team will now return to Doha.
