DOHA: A Level C coaching course has commenced in Doha, details showed
on Thursday.
Qatar Football Association's (QFA) Director of Development, Fahad
Thani on Thursday delivered the opening speech in front of 20
participants featuring in the Feb 2-13 workshop.
The event is being held with support from the Asian Football
Confederation (AFC), the game's ruling body in the world's most
populous continent.
QSL Football Development supervisor Miguel Heitor and Dr. Mazen Ahmed
Marwa were also present during the opening day's sessions.
Fahad Thani urged the participants to learn from the best in the
business. He said such workshops helped QFA and AFC in taking the game
of football to all corners of Asia.
He underlined 'total commitment and the will to learn' as key for
people interested in learning the nuances of coaching.
Fahad Thani also thanked AFC for contributing in the workshop, saying
QFA remained committed in developing all areas of the sport.
A number of lectures and practicals await the participants over the
course of the next 11 days in Doha.
Veteran lecturer Dr. Mazen Ahmed thanked QFA and the Asian body for
organizing the event.
