DOHA: Talal Al Kaabi, Director of national teams at the Qatar Football Association (QFA), met with HE Drago Lovric, Ambassador of Croatia to Qatar, at the embassy premises.
The two officials held discussions covering the time-tested relationships between Qatar and Croatia.
The officials also covered wide-ranging topics in football and ways to enhance the coordination between the two countries.
Al Kaabi also discussed the forthcoming training camp involving the Qatari youth squads in Zagreb from Sept 2 to 29.
The training camp will also include friendly matches involving the Qatar national squads that will be preparing for the AFC Asian Cup finals (U-17 and U-19) scheduled to be held in Uzbekistan and Bahrain in the months of October and November.
Qatar has based their teams in Zagreb previously, helping the junior and senior team prepare for key tournaments.
At the end of the meeting, commemorative shields were exchanged between the two sides.
Al Kaabi presented the official jersey of the national team to the Croatian ambassador.
