Doha: Italy’s Daniele Orsato has been confirmed as referee for Tuesday’s QNB Stars League rescheduled Matchday 9 matchup between pace setters Al Sadd and Al Duhail at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
Defending champions Al Duhail will be hopeful to solidify their position at the top of the table before the winter break when they visit Al Sadd, who are coming off a 4-1 victory over Al Shahaniya.
Al Duhail lead the standings with a tally of 36 points, followed by Al Sadd with 35.
The 43-year old became a FIFA referee in 2010. He has served as a referee in qualifying matches for the 2014 World Cup and Euro 2012, he was appointed a VAR referee for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
