DOHA: Qatar beat New Zealand 2-0 in their FIFA U20 World Cup tune-up
match on Sunday.
Both teams are preparing for the FIFA U20 World Cup to be held in New Zealand.
Qatar's Akram Afifi scored a goal in each half to give his team a
much-needed boost ahead of the World Cup.
Qatar exhibited a controlled game for much of the game.
Qatar will also play warm-up games against Mexico (May 18) and Mali
(May 21) before reaching Hamilton for the FIFA U20 World Cup.
The event kicks-off on May 30 and ends June 20.
Qatar are in Group C with Portugal, Colombia and Senegal at the FIFA
U20 World Cup .
