Qatar lose to England in Toulon tournament

Fos-Sur-Mer, France: England U-21 on Friday beat Qatar U-19 4-0 in their final Toulon Tournament group game at Stade Parsemain in Fos- Sur-Mer but were made to wait to secure qualification for the semi-finals.   Second-half strikes from Ronaldo Vieira (58), Tammy Abraham (61) and Adam Armstrong (72) added to an earlier own goal (38 - Ahmed Suhail) rounded up a solid show for the reigning champions.   But the Young Lions face a wait to discover their fate, hoping Scotland lose to South Korea on Saturday in which case they would qualify for the semi- finals as the best second place.   Qatar lost to Mexico 4-1 before being held to a 1-1 draw against China in their earlier matches.   The young qatari squad will now look forward to find solace in the classification match set to take place on June 5.   Qatar were using the event to prepare for the AFC U-19 Asian Cup to be played in Indonesia this October.   Qatar will start their Asian Cup 2018 match against UAE on Oct. 18. In the second game, Qatar will face Indonesia on Oct. 21 before taking on China’s Taipei team on the 24th of the same month.   Qatar squad: Marwan Badreddine, Al Ahly, Shehab Leithi, Baha Al Leithi, Mohammed Qambar, Ahmed Hammam, Ali Karimi, Youssef Ayman, Nasser Baksh, Adel Mousa, Abdullah Ali, Khalid Mohammed, Nasser Abdel Salam, Nasser Al-Yazidi, Ahmed Genihi, Youssef Abdel Razek, Hassan Belnig, Hashim Ali, and Abdullah Murisi.
