DOHA: In a major first, Qatari referees will officiate in 2020 Copa America matches this summer in Argentina and Columbia.
The 12-team tournament will feature international referees Abdul Rahman Ibrahim Al Jassim, Taleb Salem Al Marri, Saud Ahmed Saud, and Abdullah Ali Al Athbah (VAR).
The 47th edition of the event will be held from June 12 to July 12.
Qatar will take part in the tournament for the second year running after its maiden appearance last summer in Brazil.
Qatar have been tagged with Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru in Group B.
In Group A, Argentina, Colombia, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay will do battle.
Qatar will play five matches starting with Peru (June 14), Ecuador (June 18), Brazil (June 23, Venezuela (June 28) and Columbia (July 1).
According to the new system of the tournament, the first four teams from each group will qualify for the quarter-finals.
