DOHA: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) on Tuesday participated in the Qatar National Sport Day activities in partnership with Shell Qatar and Koora Time along with schoolchildren. Nabil Qayed, Social Responsibility Coordinator of QFA, was present at the special event held in Al Mamoura Region. The QFA has been actively taking part in NSD activities since 2011 with the sole aim of inculcating a sporting culture among the youth of the country.   The fun activities at programs help students engage in sports events besides learning to improve fitness. The QFA on Tuesday provided the necessary support for the success of the “Kindergarten of Peace” event which was held under the supervision of the Director of the Kindergarten, Professor Safa Muhammad Saeed, and Professor Mona Al-Turk, coordinator of activities in Al-Rawda. Coaches from the Koora Time program supervised the event in cooperation with kindergarten teachers. The students played football and other sports.   Koora Time is an award-winning initiative designed to improve the health and wellbeing of young people in Qatar through football, the most popular sport in the country. Koora Time is a community-based initiative that uses football as a platform to promote a healthy and active lifestyle among young Qataris, by facilitating access to more hours of physical activity and more opportunities and spaces to play. It is worth mentioning that QFA has developed an ambitious plan in the field of community work with many institutions based on its vision 2021.
