DOHA: Mansoor Al Ansari, Secretary General of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) on Tuesday held discussions with African envoys deputed in Qatar.
Khaled Mubarak Al Kuwari, Director of Marketing and Communications Department, and Ibrahim Shaheen Al-Sulaiti, Deputy head of subsidiary leagues committee were also present.
H E Mrs. Fatima Mohamed Ragab, Tanzania’s ambassador to Qatar, H E Patrick Ahanda, the Kenyan ambassador, Simon Ajiko the Ugandan ambassador, the charge d'affaires of the Malian embassy, Mohamed Yali Kwati, and the Chargé d'Affairs of the Djibouti embassy, Mrs. Zahra Hassan Sheikh met with QFA Officials.
The meeting came within the framework of QFA's expanding relations with African countries in recent times.
QFA developed a special bond with African countries since the Federation organized the African Embassies Championship, an initiative of QFA's 2021 Vision.
During the meeting, consultations were held on many common issues especially those related to football.
There was common understanding to strengthen the bonds of friendship between Qatar and the amabsaadors of the African countries present in the meeting.
