DOHA: Qatar Football Association (QFA) Secretary-General Mansour Al Ansari on Saturday presented the candidature of Saud Al-Mohannadi, Vice-President of AFC and QFA, for the upcoming elections to the office of the AFC President.
After submitting the papers nominating Saud Al-Mohannadi, Al-Ansari held a meeting with Dato' Windsor John, Secretary General of AFC, and discussed matters of mutual interest to develop the game around Asia.
During the meeting, Al Ansari also discussed matters relating to Qatar's participation at next month's Asian Cup to be held in the UAE. Matters relating to Qatari delegations - that includes media and fans - heading to the UAE for the Jan 5-Feb 1 event were discussed in detail.
Qatar are in Group E with Lebanon, North Korea and Saudi Arabia.
