Doha - His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), received today at his office in Al-Bidda Tower, the Minister of Tourism of Sri Lanka Harin Fernando, and Jaswar Umaru, President of the Sri Lankan Football Association, and their accompanying delegation.
In attendance during the meeting were Mr. Saoud Abdulaziz Al-Mohannadi, Vice-President of the QFA, and Mansour Al-Ansari, Secretary-General of the QFA.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest and ways to activate them, especially those related to football, in addition to strengthening the bonds of cooperation that link the two parties, and ways to develop them to serve football in the two countries.
The reception came on the sidelines of the Sri Lankan delegation's attendance at the Lusail Super Cup game, which brings together Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal and Egypt’s Zamalek, the league champions of the two countries. The match will be played on Friday evening at Lusail Stadium.
