QFA Secretary General meets Jordanian football delegation

  DOHA: Mansoor Al Ansari, Secretary General of Qatar Football Association (QFA), on Monday met in his office a delegation of the Jordanian Football Association (JFA) represented by Yusuf Al Saqour. a member of its Executive Committee and head of the medical committee. During the visit, the two officials on Monday discussed ways to enhance football cooperation between the two countries. During the meeting, representatives of JFA thanked QFA for the great support it extended to the Jordanian national squads for training purposes as well as hosting the teams for officials matches the last few years. Qatar's Aspetar Sports Medicine Hospital has also hosted and treated Jordanian football players with injuries that needed expert care. Mr Al Ansari said on Monday: "We welcome the visit of the representatives of the Jordanian Football Association. The importance of our meeting showed the intent of both parties to develop the game in Qatar and Jordan. QFA has hosted Jordanian teams and players over the years for training and matches. We feel honoured to support all football playing countries and teams." Former Belgium player and current Jordan coach Vital Borkelmans also spoke on the occasion, thanking QFA for the support to host teams from Jordan. In March 2018, HRH Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, Chairman of the Jordanian Football Association's Executive Committee, signed a five-year agreement with QFA President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani for mutual development between the two associations aimed to sharing the expertise, resources, and bolstering cooperation in various sporting areas. The agreement is set to develop strong ties between the two associations for the mutual benefit and for the promotion, growth and continued success of football in Qatar and Jordan.
