Doha: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) and the Tunisia Football Federation (FTF) signed a cooperation agreement today in QFA’s headquarters located in Al Bidda Tower, Doha, Qatar.
The agreement was signed by Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the QFA and by Wadii Jarii, President of the FTF.
The agreement is set to establish a framework to strengthen cooperation between the two associations, to encourage knowledge exchange and to enhance football growth in the respective countries.
The signing came on the margin of the Total CAF Super Cup 2019 final which was the first time, the competition first held in 1993 and organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), has been played outside Africa.
The signing ceremony was also attended by, Mansoor Al Ansari, General Secretary of the QFA and Ali Dawood, Executive Director of the QFA President office.
The purpose of this agreement is for both associations to invest in the brotherly and bilateral relations between the two countries and further explore areas of interest between them.
The memorandum signed will see both federations share expertise and experiences in the areas of training of technical personnel, sports science, and sports medicine.
Additionally, the memorandum will also focus on exchanges of information and technical material to serve the development of football in both countries, which acts as a milestone aimed at facilitating the growth and development of football in Qatar and Tunisia.
