DOHA: In preparation for the start of season 7 of the 'Koora Time' program, key stakeholders Qatar Football Federation (QFA) and Shell Qatar organized a two-day training workshop for trainers participating in the program.
The program aims to encourage youngsters between the ages 6 to 17 to follow healthy habits through football and sports in general contributing to the social development pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
The workshop focused on five training modules that encourage children to participate in a healthy lifestyle through football. More than 130 trainers representing QFA and the Qatar Women's Sports Committee (QWSC) featured in the workshop along with students to enhance their knowledge of the initiative.
This year, the trainers will use their experience to fine-tune and deepen the training to guide more than 2,000 students from participating schools throughout the country during their weekly participation that attracts more than 500 participants.
From Saturday until Saturday, every week from 8 am to 10 am, the Aspire Academy will receive all members of the community under the age of 17 to carry out fun football activities under the supervision and guidance of coaches.
Throughout the season, 'Koora Time' trainers will provide parents with advice and recommendations on healthy exercise and nutrition to promote healthy lives for their children. Topics of discussion also include drinking fluids, opting for healthy nutrition, following a health program, leading an active lifestyle and how to work on disease prevention.
