DOHA: Qatar U-19 national team lost 0-1 to Côte d'Ivoire while
Uruguay beat Vietnam 2-1 in another match at the closing day Four
National Tournament at Aspire Academy.
The Qatar squad featured in the event to give the U-19 players
maximum match practice ahead of the AFC U-19 Asian Cup to be played
in Indonesia next month.
Winners of the AFC U-19 title in 2014, Qatar have played a series
of friendly matches in the last few months to prepare for the region's
top event for U-19 players.
Earlier in the tournament, Qatar beat Vietnam 4-1 but lost to Uruguay
2-3.
Qatar will be playing against hosts Indonesia, Chinese Taipei and the
UAE at the AFC U-19 Asian Cup while be held from October 18.
Al Anabi will continue with its series of friendlies with a game against
Iran on October 2 followed by a clash against Jordan on October 5.
