Slovakia: Qatar’s U-20 squad under Coach Bruno Pinheiro has begun training in their extensive training camp in Slovakia to prepare for Under-20 World Cup in Poland this summer.
The young Qataris open the U-20 World Cup on Friday, May 24 against Nigeria, face Ukraine on May 27 and finishes the group phase versus The United States on Thursday, May 30.
Qatar will play all of their group stage matches at Tychy City Stadium in Tychy.
Sixteen teams advance to the second round – the top two in each group and the best four third-place teams. The final is in Lodz on June 15.
Qatar secured its spot in the tournament with a top-four finish at the 2018 AFC U-19 Championship in Indonesia where they lost to the Republic of Korea in the semifinals.
