DOHA: Qatar Football Association (QFA) has announced that U-23 players will not appear for clubs in round 19 of QSL.
This was decided by the QFA to allow players rest and recovery ahead of the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers in Doha from Mar 22-26.
The clubs have been apprised of QFA's latest move through a circular on Thursday.
Players appearing for clubs playing AFC Champions League will be given an exception.
Doha will host the first round of qualification from March 22 to 26 next year with teams from Oman, Nepal and Afghanistan.
