Doha: Four teams are set to compete in the semi-finals of the University League this weekend. The first match will kick off at 6pm on Thursday at Pitch 4 of QF’s Recreation Center.
The first semi-final of the night will kick off at 7pm. Group B’s second place team, College of North Atlantic – Qatar, who have finished the group stage with nine points, will play Group A’s first place winner, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, who have ten points.
Defending champions, Qatar University (QU), will take on Qatar Aeronautical College after claiming first place in Group B with nine points. Qatar Aeronautical College, Group A’s second place team, collected a total of nine points as well, this match will take place at 8pm in the same venue.
Launched in 2013, the University League brings together eight colleges and universities from across Qatar.
Ten colleges and universities are battle it out to take home this year’s title. Games are played on Thursdays, with the final match played on Thursday, December 13. An official awards ceremony to crown the first-, second-, and third-placed teams will immediately follow.
