DOHA: Belgium's second division side K.A.S. Eupen, have confirmed
the signing of Qatari young sensation Akram Afif.
The move will see Afif joining Qatar U-20 teammates Ahmed Al Saadi,
Ahmed Moin and Fahad Abdulrahman at the club currently fifth in the
Belgian second division league.
Afif, a gifted striker, was an exceptional standout as the Qatari junior
squad made history and claimed their maiden AFC U-19 Championship
title after a 1-0 victory over DPR Korea in the final in Myanmar last
October.
Qatar is poised to feature in the 2015 U-20 World Cup in New Zealand
next June, a first return to the biennial tournament since hosting it in 1995.
