HAMILTON, New Zealand: StrikerAkram Afifon Monday said aggressive game-plan is the only way forward for Qatar. "We saw a significant change in the way we played in the second half against Colombia," Afif said after a training session at Porrit Stadium. "An improved Qatar hit back in the second half. Surely we can play in the same manner again," he added. "If you ask me, we have to forget the Colombia loss and take our full focus to the next games. We have to note the mistakes we made and now plan on winning the games against Portugal and Senegal," he added. Europe-based defender Fahad Shanin said: "There was a lot of pressure in the first game. When there's pressure, players sometimes make mistakes. But the good thing is how we played in the first half did not impact how we challenged in the second." He added: "We played strongly in the second half but we missed chances to score. In addition, there were two possible penalties that didn't go our way." Shanin, who plays in Belgium, said: "Our goal now is to win the next encounter against Portugal in order to compensate for the loss on Sunday. I think we can achieve this (goal)." When reminded about huge number of Colombian fans backing their team on Sunday, Shanin, 20, said: "That's not the case. We can handle crowd pressure. We handled crowd pressure when we won the Asian title in Myanmar (last October)."
