DOHA:Al Arabi returned to the winning path in the Qatar Stars League, putting more pressure on Gharafa. Iranian striker Ashkan Dejagah gave Arabi the lead as early as the second minute while Lisandro Lopez equalised in the 78th. When it looked like the game was meandering towards a draw, Spanish midfielder Pablo Hernandez struck the winner in the 90th. Al Wakrah, who were riding a joyous wave following upset wins over El Jaish and Gharafa in the previous weeks, failed to extend it to the third week as promoted side Shamal held them. Former Wakrah striker Ali Mejbal put Shamal in front in the 24th while Wakrah equalised in the 93rd through Waheed Mohammed. Tunisian striker Hamdi Harbaoui netted a brace as Qatar Sports Club saw off a late burst from 10-man Ahli. Maher Yousef put Qatar SC ahead in the third minute while Meshaal Abdullah equalised in the 31st. Ahli suffered a blow when they lost goalkeeper Basel Zaidan to a red card for handling the ball outside the area. Qatar SC capitalised on it and shifted the momentum in their favour, with Harbaoui scoring twice (54th and 63rd) and Cho Young-Cheol adding another in the 83rd. Meshaal (87th) and Alain Dioko (95th) gave Qatar SC before conceding defeat.
