Al-Buainain features in WAFF online meeting

  DOHA: Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Buainain, a member of the Executive Committee of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), participated in the 25th meeting of the Executive Committee of the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF), which was held Thursday afternoon via video technology. H H Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, President of WAFF, chaired the meeting in his capacity as Chairman of the Executive Committee, with the participation of all members of the committee from representatives of the member federations. The meeting discussed the restructuring of the current WAFF committees, namely: competitions, finance, media and marketing, emergency, in addition to the formation of new committees: legal, development, elections, where the report on the latest developments related to the agenda was reviewed. List of 2021 tournaments and matters related to development workshops were also discussed. The federation’s activities up to March 2021 were also discussed, and the previous championships and workshops were approved, as well as the meetings that were held in the last period pertaining to the various committees, including the recent meeting of secretaries of the WAFF members and its recommendations. The meeting also discussed financial and marketing matters by approving the financial statements of the WAFF for the years 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, and reviewing the financial position of the until the end of 2020 and the budget for the current year 2021. In addition, the meeting included discussion of many legal matters related to the rules of conduct, elections and disciplinary regulation.
