DOHA: El Jaish suffered their second defeat in a week when Al Gharafa shocked them 2-1 in the ninth round of the Qatar Stars League. Moayad Hassan netted in the 36th and 90th minute while Jaish’s lone goal came through midfielder Mohammed Methnani in the 67th. Brazilian striker William Souza scored the all-important goal in the 55th minute as Al Khor defeated promoted Al Shamal to stay on the winning path. AlArabi, who were off to a promising start this season but suffered a slump in form of late, dropped points once again, against another promoted side Al Shahaniya, by playing out a goalless draw. Elsewhere, Al Ahli defeated Al Wakrah 3-1. Prolific striker Alain Dioko (22nd and 68th) scored on either side of a Meshaal Abdullah (32nd) strike. Argentinian striker Sebastian Saez found the only goal for Wakrah in the 31st.
