DOHA: Top QFA officials Fahad Thani and Adel Khamis joined hands to
crown Al Gharafa as Qatar U-19 champions.
Fahad, the Development Department chief at QFA, and former star Khamis,
presented the trophy at a special ceremony on Sunday.
The ceremony was organised during the Al Duhail vs Al Gharafa semi-final
of the Qatar Cup at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Sunday.
Al Gharafa clinched the competition after being declared winners without
taking the field on Friday against Umm Salal who did not have enough players
for the game to take place.
QFA's Disciplinary Committee awarded the match to Al Gharafa with a 3-0
margin.
With the win, Al Gharafa raised their points tally to 44, finishing the youth league
ahead of second-placed Al Duhail and Al Rayyan in third spot.
