DOHA: Qatar Stars League (QSL) giants Al Gharafa have roped in
Péricles Raimundo Oliveira Chamusca as their coach for the next
season, it was announced on Monday.
The Brazilian replaces Bertrand Marchand, the club added on Monday.
Marchand was at the helm when Al Gharafa were shocked at the Emir Cup
game against lowly Al Kharaitiyat earlier this month.
Marchand came after Brazilian coach Marcos Paqueta was sacked before
the end of the season as Al Gharafa failed to match the expectations
of the management.
Chamusca has coached QSL side Al Arabi in the 2010-2011 season.
Earlier in the day Al Gharafa announced that it had signed Al Ahli's
goal-scoring machine Congolese striker Alain Dioko who emerged as the
top scorer in QSL for the second time in a row.
