DOHA: Al Sadd came from two goals behind to defeat 10-man Al Gharafa 3-2 to remain on top of the Qatar Stars League table.
In a thrilling game at the Al Gharafa Stadium, Nene struck twice in the 24th and 56th minutes to give Gharafa a 2-0 lead, but Sadd fought back through goals from Abdulkarim Hassan (60th), Hassan Al Haidous (78th) and Talal Al Balooshi (83rd).
Sadd thus increased their tally to 29 points.
Earlier, Lekhwiya had routed league debutants Al Shahaniya 5-0 to put pressure on Sadd.
Youssef Msekni (22nd),Khaled Muftah (38th, 93rd),Sebastian Soria (43rd) and VladimĂr Weiss (51st) found the target for the cops.
Al Ahli too came from two goals down to put it past Al Arabi.
Imoh Ezekiel (27th) andAshkan Dejagah (38th) gave Arabi a 2-0 lead, but a brace each fromAlain Dioko (66th and 73rd) and Mojtaba Jabbari (89th and 94th) gave Ahli an easy victory.
Thamer Jamal struck in the 82nd minute as Umm Salal defeated Al Sailiya 1-0.
