Yangon: Qatar U-19 National team director Abdullah Al Hanzab on Tuesday said he is proud of his team’s performances at the 2014 AFC Cup for U-19 teams, which was manifested in Qatar finishing the group stage atop of Group D ahead of DPR Korea, Iraq and Oman respectively.
“It is a great result, but what's more important is the way this team is performing, our progress rate is just impressive”.
“The players gelled well in the preparation period. winning matches gives any team confidence. We feel the same way,” he added.
“The players will continue training after we return to Nay Pyi taw where we face China on Friday. We do not want to lose intensity before this key match. Everyone will be on the training pitch,” he said.
“We have to be positive and play an aggressive game. It will be a different match compared to our group stage matches, a lot is riding on this match”.
