DOHA: Al Kharaitiyatterminated the contract of coach Bertrand Marchand, it emerged on Sunday. The Frenchmanwas told his services were no longer required following the 3-3 drawagainst Qatar SC on Saturday. Marchand had took overKharaitiyat halfway through the previousseason in a brilliant unbeaten run whick kept the relegation threatened side in Qatar's elite football league for another season. But Saturday'sresult was the team’s fifth matchin a row without a win, a fact which the club’s administration was not happy about. Syrianc oach Yassir Sobaie has been put in charge of the side. Kharaitiyat are currently twelfth at the Qatar Stars League table with 13 points.
