Al Rayyan’s big win at Thani bin Jassim Stadium on Sunday secured a swift return to top flight football following last year’s shocking relegation. Rodrigo Tabata netted twice, meanwile, Baro Sedeqi, Nathan and Hamid Ismaiel scored one goal each. Al Rayyan have a tally of 42 points, 5 ahead of second-placed Mesaimeer, who crushed Al Khuraitiyat 4-0. Two round of matches are yet to be completed in the Qatargas League. A total of 14 sides compete in QSL, Qatar’s professional football league.
