Doha: Under the direct supervision of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the Qatar Football Association (QFA) has launched the first stage of the Level (A) Football Coaching Diploma. The program, held at the Al Sailiya Sports Club grounds, is part of a series of advanced technical initiatives designed to qualify coaches and enhance their training competencies.
The diploma is being delivered by a select group of accredited lecturers, including Dr. Mohamed Gado and Mr. Wassam Shamel. Overseeing the courses technically is Mr. Abdulqader Al-Mughaiseeb, the Education Consultant for the QFA's Development Department, who is monitoring the progress to ensure the highest standards of quality and adherence to the targeted training outcomes.
Structured across six training stages, with one week dedicated each month, the program blends theoretical and practical components in line with the latest curricula approved by the AFC. The inaugural stage focuses on offensive aspects of play, complemented by theoretical lectures covering the management of daily training units, team building, and pre-season preparation programs. This integrated approach aims to develop the analytical and tactical capabilities of the participating coaches.
This program falls within the QFA's broader vision for developing the technical education framework and building a cadre of coaches capable of contributing to the advancement of Qatari football.
