DOHA: Al Sadd and Al Arabi played out a thrilling 1-1 draw in the fifth round of the Qatar Stars League at the Al Arabi Stadium on Friday. Ali Aden put Arabi in front in the 35th while Sadd equalised through Abdulkarim Hassan in the 42nd minute. Defending champions Lekhwiya stretched their winning streak in the competition to the fifth week as they defeated Al Shamal 2-0. Sebastian Soria converted from the spot in the 38th to put the cops ahead while Youssef Msakni made it 2-0 in the 93rd. Goals from Wesam Rizik (31st) and Mohammed Muntari (91st) helped El Jaish defeat a fighting Al Ahli 2-0. Elsewhere, Mahmoud Saad scored the all-important goal in the 52nd as Al Kharaitiyat shocked Umm Salal.
