DOHA: Last year’s runners-upEl Jaishcame from behind to beat Al Arabi in a Qatar Stars League (QSL) match atLekhwiyastadium yesterday. Arabi’s 20-year-old Nigerian striker Imoh Ezekiel gave them lead in the sixth minute when he netted left-footer from the right wing, but Tunisian Matahni equalized in the 52nd minute.
Jaish were playing without key player Majed Mohamed as he was sent off in the last match after receiving two yellow cards. But the armymen were strengthened by the arrival of Brazilian striker Romario Ricardo da Silva as he made it 2-1 in the 72nd minute. The last goal for the winners came from Abdulrahman Abubakar in the 76th minute. It is an important win for Jaish after they lost to Umm Salal in the second round after winning their opener against Al Wakrah.
