Al Waab extend lead in Amateur League

DOHA: Al Waab continued with their run of form as they hammered British Community 5-0 to hold on to the top spot in Qatar Amateur League. In other games, Madinat Khalifa crushed Al Tadamon 3-2 while Lusail rarely looked troubled in their clash against Sudanese Community, winning their one-sided game 7-1. Madinat Khalifa stalled in the match for a while but managed to edge Al Tadamon after a resolute fight. Lusail, however, clearly looked the superior side, crushing the challenge of the Sudanese Community. In other matches, Al Quds beat Lebanese Community 5-0, Kahramaa downed Latin 2-0, Military Command edged Copros 2-0 while Matar played out a 1-1 draw against Smaisma. After beating British Community in their last game, Al Waab have retained their top spot at the Qatar Amateur League. Top ranked Al Waab have 63 points after 24 matches. In second spot is Amwaj who have a tally of 60 points. Kahramaa are in third place with 59 points from 24 matches. Doha are in fourth spot with 45 points. Al Quds, with a tally of 41 points after 24 rounds, complete the top five in the Qatar Amateur League.
