DOHA: Algeria dominated Ghana in a 3-0 win at the Education City Stadium in Doha as both teams gear up towards the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) set to take place in Cameroun later this month.
Goals from Adam Ounas, Islam Slimani and an own goal from experienced defender Jonathan Mensah settled the score the reigning AFCON champions.
Algeria began the game as the better side and dominated the early exchanges as Ghana struggled to match their intensity.
After just eight minutes, the Desert Foxes were rewarded for their efforts when Ounas turned Gideon Mensah inside-out before firing a low shot past Nurudeen at his near-post.
It was the North Africans, though, who ended the game on the ascendency after adding two late goals to seal an impressive 3-0 win.
The win over Ghana sees the Desert Foxes extend their unbeaten run to 40 matches, with their last defeat coming in September 2019.
