Amir Cup trophy welcomed at MES Indian School

Doha: The Amir Cup Trophy Tour is continuing across the country, and this week, the MES Indian School welcomed the Qatar Football Association (QFA) delegation. The Trophy Tour, which kicked off on February 27, will end on March 16. The MES Indian School (MES) welcomed the QFA delegation at the school premises. The QFA delegation included Fadala Al-Fadala and Muhammad Hashem from the Marketing and Communication Department, the Marketing and Social Responsibility Department, and Abdullah Al-Mansoori, representative of the Ministry of Education. The QFA delegation was received by Abdul Karim, Chairman of the School Board of Directors, and Mrs Hamida Qader School Principal and Board Members: Khalil/Vice President, Jason Beno Chaco, Ahmed Isham/General Secretary, Ashraf Sharaf El-Din/Director of Finance, Shaheen Muhammad Shafi/Student Affairs Officer and Mrs Sahla Kabeer. The QFA delegation interacted with the students who asked questions about the Amir Cup, and later everyone posed for photos. Khaled Mubarak Al-Kuwari, Director of Marketing and Communications at QFA, said: “We are delighted to be here with the Amir Cup trophy. This year we have had big crowds turning up at the venues to watch the teams engaged in Amir Cup battles.” He added: “This year, we are celebrating the 50th edition of the country’s most popular football tournament. We at QFA, are continuously trying to engage students and school teachers and encourage them to watch the matches. We have done this in the past, and we can see there’s always a great deal of interest among the students when it comes to Amir Cup.” Al-Kuwari said: “There is no doubt that the promotional campaign is bearing fruit, and the evidence is the clear interaction that we saw from the school students today. This way, the students know more about the history of the tournament, the teams that take part and the players involved in playing matches. We are delighted to be taking the social responsibility scheme forward every year.” Al Kuwari presented the replica shield of the QFA as a souvenir gift to the school principal.
