Doha: Qatar Under-17 team won the Aspire Academy Under-18 tri-series while Italian club, Atalanta Bergamo topped in the Under-16 section of the tournament.
Another edition of the tri-series tournament organised by ASpire Academy brought the U-16 and U-18 teams of JEF United of Japan and Atalanta Bergamo of Italy to Aspire Academy last week. What stood out was the strong performance of Aspire’s U-18 team, which was in fact is the Qatari Under-17 national team, which won its age group after beating Atalanta and finishing the tournament with a goalless draw against JEF United.
In the U-16 competition, Aspire’s team finished with a 1-1 against the Japanese. Atalanta Bergamo finished first in this group, having beaten both their opponents.
