DOHA: The AspireAcademy’s Under-17 team left for Bangkok to take part in tournaments there. The academy had organised training sessions and a friendly against Qatar Stars League side Al Rayyan. The 23-member squad includes five players who featured in last month’s Milk Cup triumph in Northern Ireland, which saw them beat Manchester United’s youth team 5-1 in the final.
