DOHA: Qatar Footabll Association on Friday evening arranged a lecture on
integrity in football and recent develpment in the game's rules for players of the Qatar national teamahead of next month's Asian Cup to be held in Australia.
The lecture was delivered by Hani Blanc, CEO of QSLM. Qatar coach
Djamel Belmadi also attended the lecture.
In an interview, Balan said said that the lecture was arranged as per
directives of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
Balan said match-fixing and foul-play on or off the pitch were
unacceptable at all levels of the game.
He said the same message needed to be reinforced at amateur and
professional leagues.
Balan said playersmust be warned about the affects of match-fixing and
coaches at clubs should repeatedlyhighlight the negatives of this
practice.
