Doha: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced the appointment of Mr. Hani Taleb Ballan, Executive Committee member of Qatar Football Association and CEO of Qatar Stars League, as Chairperson of its Referees Committee. Mr. Ravshan Irmatov is the New Deputy Chairperson, in accordance with Article 33.2 (f) of the AFC Statutes (2023 Edition) and Article 9.9 of the AFC Organisation Regulations (2022 Edition).   Mr. Ballan previously held the position of Vice-Chairman of the Referees Committee during the last session from 2018-2023. His appointment as Chairman is a testament to the AFC's confidence in his capabilities, expertise in refereeing, and his future vision for the development of Asian refereeing.
