Barsham, who play for Al Sadd, was a stalwart for Qatar throughout competition.
With the help of the goalkeeper, Qatar became the fifth team in AFC Asian Cup history to win the tournament in consecutive years, joining Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Japan, and the Korea Republic.
