DOHA: Al Khor’s Brazilian striker Julio Cesar on Monday was named the
Qatar Stars League (QSL) Player of the Month.
The Pplayer of the Month award recognizes an outstanding contribution
a player makes to his team.
The recipient is chosen by the QSL’s Competition and Football
Development department according to statistical benchmarks set out at
the start of the season.
The Al Khor forward has managed to maintain a 1.7 goals average per game.
In addition he also won the Goal of the round award after a nifty
touch for his equalizing goal against Al Kharaitiyat in round 24 of
the QSL.
Cesar deserves recognition this month after scoring 5 goals and
providing one assist.
This means that he was directly involved in 6 of the 8 goals Al Khor
scored in April, which translates to an incredible 75%.
The QSL season ended last week with Lekhwiya winning the title for the
fourth time in five years.
