ISTANBUL: Qatar national coach Daniel Carreno has visited the Lekhwiya
training camp currently being held in Turkish city of Istanbul,
details have revealed.
According to details posted on the Lekhwiya website, Carreno is doing
a follow-up on club players that represent the Qatar national side.
Qatar will be playing a number of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying games
in the next three to four months as it aims to reach the finals of
football's showpiece event to be held in Russia.
Carreno, who replaced Djamel Belmadi as Qatar coach in May this year,
met the latter who is now head coach at Lekhwiya.
The Qatar coach is expected to visit other Qatar Stars League (QSL)
sides currently training across Europe in the build-up to the new QSL
season that will commence on September 11.
